My story...
Despite gym workouts, physiotherapy advice and chiropractic, I still had a bad back. For 20 years I AVOIDED skipping or jumping on a mini-trampoline. Others could get away with that but not me. Something wasn't right!

So why didn't gym workouts, physiotherapy advice and chiropractic work for my back?...

They didn't tell me what I NEEDED to know...
  • I needed to know how to engage the lazy postural muscles of the "core and the floor", and
  • I needed to know how to hold and move myself correctly to minimize the risk of damage to the most delicate joints in the body - the two lowermost intervertebral discs and the sacro-iliac joints.


In desperation I went to the local library and started to read up the books on Pilates, Alexander technique... you name it I read it.

Little by little, I became more aware of where the damage happens in the spine, the power of the pelvic floor and other muscles to protect the spine, and the necessity to regularly train good habits of muscle activation and movement patterning. I also learnt about the power of massage, and gave up my job (as a mixed practice veterinarian in rural Southland New Zealand)...
