When it comes to independent thinking capable of covering the whole human health field, a researcher with veterinary experience has the unique advantages of a generalist:- We certainly need medical specialists but I think you will agree that the generalist approach does have its merits when it comes to developing information resources for those who are keen to "Self Health Manage"!
Instructing PilatesBack to School:-AS at December 2007, has achieved competency in:-
Bruce has the following special interests:-
Family Man...Bruce is a family man, giving help and support to wife and partner of 8 years (as at December 2004), Glynis. With twin babies in the family, you can appreciate that he must have developed at least some strategies of time and self-health management along the way. Glynis is a registered nurse, classical homoeopathist and accomplished wellness councillor.
Fitness Orientated Life Style...Bruce has a fitness orientated lifestyle. As a mountaineer in New Zealand's unique Southern Alps, he has twice climbed New Zealand's tallest mountain (Aorangi -Mt Cook), and has also partnered two climbing first routes. His current fitness interests involve dry land training for cross-country skiing with the occasional foray into that much loved snow, and maintaining the body for the demands of work and life.
Personal Experience of Musculoskeletal Afflictions...He has personally experienced many of the common musculo-skeletal afflictions of human-kind, from shin splints and knee pain to shoulder and tennis elbow problems. Says Bruce, "Pain is a great motivator for finding curative strategies!" However, it's not just pain that motivates Bruce. He has a genuine desire to help people to find easier answers to life's problems.
